The Richard de Bas paper mill in Ambert in France
The Richard de Bas paper mill with some buildings from the 15th century is located in the middle of the Livradois-Forez National Park in Auvergne. It is the last evidence of the cradle of the French paper mills. An exemplary restoration justified the classification “Monument Historique”.
The sheet of paper is scooped before your eyes as it was at the beginning of paper production. The Richard de Bas mill in Ambert d’Auvergne is still active.
